Artist Wellbeing and Support

  • Who is it for?

Artists: performers, writers, directors, dancers, musicians, designers, visual and socially engaged artists.

Collaborators: producers, crew, stage managers, technicians, venue staff and anyone holding space for creativity.

Community: Visual artists, Musicians or other creative facilitators working or wanting to work in community arts or schools.

  • Social arts

Holding stories You may be holding personal, social, or political stories within your creative work and want a safe space to reflect, process, and grow.

Connecting with communities If you’re stepping into community arts for the first time, or may already offer creative wellbeing or social prescribing workshops but want to explore mental health accessibility or guidance on maintaining boundaries.

Exploring issues Looking for a sounding board to explore your connection to your creative content, how the work you do could effect the groups you are aiming to work with, we can work together to explore your arts impact.

  • Autobiographical work

Your creative work is deeply personal and if you’re working on a project based on personal stories or issues that hit hard, we can take time to explore outside of the writing process or rehearsal room to ensure psychological safety along with planning for a containing creative process.

Looking at personal context and emotional boundaries can help you safely deepen connection to or explore how audiences may interact with the work and what this means to you.

  • Reflective time

    We can work together:

Individually with 1:1 support (online) for example if working on autobiographical work or exploring emotionally triggering text.

On-location sessions in rehearsal rooms, workshops, or project spaces to support, or co-facilitate the process.

Team reflection: group debriefs, restorative practice & reflective time using creative exercises for another perspective and start to think about how and what you leave behind, understand the challenges and what you carry on into your next steps.
